Thank you for visiting Intent with Jen. My name is Jennifer, and I’ll be a guide to help you find ways to get through life intentionally.
Intent with Jen aims to give working professionals a place to find inspiration & motivation to help navigate the day-to-day. From advice on finding balance in your daily life to offering yoga & meditation tips to keep you moving or life hacks to get the most out of each moment, I want to help empower you to be your best.
I grew up with parents that took care of everyone but themselves. They ran group homes and raised hundreds of youth for over 20 years in addition to raising me and my three siblings. As I got older and entered the workforce, I saw this was the norm of being an adult. I, too, began sacrificing my well-being to take care of everyone but myself. Eventually, I was put in the hospital for a ruptured intestine due to stress.
Years later, I started working for a wellness company, found yoga, and became a certified instructor. I saw how life’s stresses were exponentially getting harder. As I continued teaching stressed-out professionals and began to see the relief across their faces, I started to realize it is up to each of us to create our happiness and to choose how much stress we bring into our life. I wanted to continue helping my community outside the studio.
I hope to help overworked, busy people slow down and be present by offering tips, tricks, and tools that remind you of your life's intention.
