Mindfulness, the ability to bring acceptance and awareness to the present moment, is a simple and effective way we can impact the quality of our lives.
Juggling work, at-home schooling, responsibilities, and trying to fit into a socially distanced social life can make it hard to feel fruitful from your daily actions. These few tips have helped me reduce a little stress, be more attentive in my actions, and feel more joy for life.

GRATITUDE - We hear this one in all the self-help books, religious texts, mental health programs, from therapists, friends, etc. I mention gratitude frequently to help redirect our focus on the positives in our life. I've been doing this one daily, and it works. Instead of being distracted with what I think I don't have or what I think I'm not good at, throughout the day, I consciously find things to appreciate. When you come back to your work, you'll find fresh creativity.
Taking BREAKS - In a world where there's always one more thing that can be done, taking breaks has resorted to stuffing your face while checking emails. Scheduling dedicated time to walk away helps the brain find clarity. Go outside. Take a few conscious breaths. Get fresh blood flowing to the mind to gain a new perspective.
Active or Still MEDITATION - Moving into a neutral space and sitting in stillness has shown to be more effective than taking a nap to rejuvenate the mind and body. Resetting the mind helps reset your focus. Active meditation - moving the body with the breath helps to clear the excess mind chatter to help you regain your productivity.
Be fully present, aware of where you are and what you’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around you. No matter how you choose to be mindful, there’s no doubt you should start a mindfulness practice today.
